Hearty Breakfast for Toddlers
It’s a simple, easy, quick and healthy breakfast recipe to prepare for your little ones that is yummy as well as nutritious to serve first thing in the morning. It keeps them full for longer and energise throughout the day.
Here are the Ingredients:
- 1 cup Milk (Any milk)
- Oats (4 Tbs)
- Prunes (2 pcs)
- Chia seeds (1tsp)
- Pear (1/2)
- Ground Almonds (2 tsp)
- Mixed spices (1 tsp) – (the one I bought includes cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and coriander seed)
- Honey (1 tsp)
Method:
Heat the milk in the saucepan with oats, chopped up prunes and chia seeds for about 5 minutes till the mixture turns little thicker.
Place the cereal in the bowl to cool down for a bit. Meanwhile, finely chop the pear then mix it with the cereal. Sprinkle some ground almonds, mixed spices and honey from the top and serve warm to your little one. It’s that easy !
Note: Dry prunes and pear helps with the constipation issues so include them sometimes in your child’s diet. Otherwise, choose any dry fruits, fresh fruits and ground nuts of your choice that your baby prefers.
