Valentine’s Day when you are a Parent

One of the least important thing on every parent’s ‘To do list’ would be celebrating Valentine’s Day. Most of the parents might celebrate and would make a plan for the date night or outing.

However, I guess the constant thought of their child’s well-being might ruin the romantic date night somehow.

And if you’re thinking about celebrating Valentine’s day as a family then let me remind you that whatever you might be planning for the day, might not turn out as you’d like. So, be prepared beforehand.

However, I don’t mean to discourage any parents by this post. I believe, the only thing that’ll change is the liberty of doing what you used to do as a partner on every Valentine’s Day.

Once you become a parent, the whole perspective of looking at the situation might differ. You might be missing on things that you used to do but your attitude of celebrating Valentine’s day may vary as a parent. Hence, you’d make such arrangements that would involve both your kids and family as a whole.

Your kids become your first priority and love of your lives. You used to celebrate Valentine’s day as a couple, partner and a lover because it was how everybody your age used to celebrate. Now you’d prefer to celebrate it more sensibly and responsibly as a parent.

Valentine’s Day is the day of celebrating love. Love is boundless and doesn’t distinguish age, race, culture, gender, size, colour or things. It is the belief and trust that passes from one pure soul and reaches to another.

So, gifting & receiving material things to please and expressing your love to your family and partner is valueless. The most important gift you can give to the love of your life is the ‘Time”. So, be with your family, loved ones and kids when necessary and turn every day as Valentine’s day.
